1. When we started, I had a potentially exciting opportunity to show/sell work at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. I knew that there was some excitement about my work, and I wanted to have more to show, but I was having a really hard time getting to any of it, because I was buried in some pretty heavy depressive/procrastination habits.
2. I was already seeing a psychotherapist and was making the standard slow progress there, but not the kind that would help in the immediate term. I was concerned that I was signing up for slow work in the face of a tight budget and an actual deadline. 3. After the first few sessions, I was feeling optimistic, because the material you were offering was very pragmatic and focused on immediate issues. I also felt like I was making actual progress. 4. The exhibition came together and was a positive experience, opening new doors and also revealing more work to be done. In the meantime I also took up meditation and have made serious inroads in developing a life structure that allows me to pursue my goals effectively. 5. You're perceptive and you remind me to approach my stuff in a utilitarian way. I also think we understand each other easily. It's pretty rad. |

1. What was happening in your life/business/relationships when we started working together and what did you want?
I was struggling pretty badly at work. Living in a constant state of uncertainty and anxiety. Nothing I did was changing my results no matter how hard I was trying and as a result I was mentally spent all the time and was just depressed and down all the time.
I wanted someone who could frankly just fix it. I'd been to a local therapist before and frankly the experience sucked. My biggest gripe was that I felt she just cared about getting the money and was very little invested in my success. I wanted someone to really help me sort out my issues and actually CARE about me succeeding.
2. What hesitations did you have about working with me?
Since it was being done online and I lived half a world away, being scammed was my biggest concern. In fact I had trouble wiring over the money for our first session and honestly thought he wouldn't show up. Was surprised when he called at the exact time (even after I hadn't transferred the money) and when I said I thought he wouldn’t show up, he said that if he couldn't trust me, how could I trust him (paraphrasing). The sincerity in his voice made me realize I'd made the right choice.
3. How did you feel after our first few sessions?
Honestly, I felt very little progress was being made. Which was frustrating, but I trusted the method and committed to it 100% since if I was doing this, it would only make sense I'd be 100% on board. Lo and behold, my greatest results started coming about 4 sessions in and major break throughs were made around the 6-8th session mark. Just gotta stick to the process. I remember being impatient initially and kinda scoffed at him suggesting I make a reminder and just do 1 push up at 12am (I suggested I should aim for 30 instead) but Aaron insisted I stick to 1. That approach really helped me stick to the routine and now I can comfortably do 30 pushups instead of having to fear doing 30.
4. What specific results have you achieved since we started working together?
I went from being achieving 50% of my quarterly target to being 230% of my target for the quarter. Not only that I've become a lot more calm and confident at work, remaining calm under pressure and pushing back when it mattered (something I lacked the courage to do before).
5. What have you liked best about working with me?
His constant professionalism was a key standout and he was always punctual (forcing me to be punctual as well). The best thing though would have to be him actually caring about my success and that in itself gave a certain kind of confidence that I lacked from my previous experience. He also didn’t let me rely on him too much, being the bad cop when it was necessary to ensure I can be self-sustaining instead of relying on him anytime things went south.
6. How else have you benefited from our work together?
I've expanded my comfort zone, pushed boundaries I hadn't pushed in ages and have overall done things I never thought I'd get around to doing. Also being a lot centric and knowing what mattered to me most is also something I got a lot of clarity on.
7. Would you recommend me and my services? If so, why and to whom?
YES! Hands down. BUT I would ONLY suggest taking him on if you're SERIOUS about change. A lot of times we SAY we want to change, but change IS hard. So it isn't going to be a walk in the part, only take him up on his services if you are at a point in life where you're certain change is a must and not something you want to take lightly.
Overall the sessions were of IMMENSE HELP! And though there are still areas that need work to be done, I felt working with Aaron improved my life from someone being in a constant state of anxiety to someone whose calm and collected, a sort of peace that I cannot put a price on!
